Challenge
Traditionally, Outer Reef Yachts are known to be build with a focus on long-range efficiency with a touch of luxury and comfort. The challenge was to stay within those parameters. It is easy to overshoot the luxury and comfort aspect.
Approach
To spice things up a bit, we created a lush and eclectic environment by using calming colors, natural materials, and worldly textiles from Thailand and Indonesia. We took into consideration the use of each area and carefully selected all the new furnishings inside and out to compliment how the owners intended to use it; whether working remotely on the aft deck or lounging on the fly bridge.
Accents of blue
Refitting the salon of the 26m Eagle yacht with blue accents would create a striking contrast against the rich cherry wood-colored base interior panels. By incorporating shades of deep navy and soft coastal blues into throw pillows, upholstery, and decor, the space would take on a fresh, modern aesthetic while maintaining the yacht’s classic warmth. The blue tones would enhance the feeling of open space, harmonizing with the natural light and sea views, all while adding a sophisticated touch that complements the traditional wood grain of the interior.
While maintaining the theme of mixing the traditional with the modern, we took a fun approach in designing the perfect bedding to fit the space.
