Slowing Down at Sunset: A Wellness Evening for Fort Lauderdale’s Yachting Community

The sun was dropping low over Sunrise Harbor Marina, the kind of light that turns every hull in the water gold. Mats were rolled out poolside, yachts lined up behind them like a backdrop nobody had to build. This was Loom Lux’s Sunset Flow and Sound Bath, an evening we put together for the people who keep this industry running: crew, captains, and the residents who call this marina home.

Yachting doesn’t really stop. Long days, tight schedules, guests to take care of, vessels to maintain. We wanted to give that community one evening built around the opposite of all that. No rush, no checklist, just a good stretch, some quiet, and a reason to be poolside for something other than work.

The Flow

The session was guided by Victoria, an instructor on the team at Arrow USA, the Fort Lauderdale office of the Monaco-based superyacht management firm Arrow. There’s something fitting about that. Arrow spends its days managing the technical, demanding side of yacht ownership, and Victoria brought a different kind of care to the dock for an evening, leading the group through a flow that closed out in a sound bath as the sky went from blue to orange.

The Setting

A wellness event for the yachting industry needed a venue that actually understands it, which is why we hosted at Sunrise Harbor Marina. Bradford Marine, who took over management of the marina in 2024, also kept everyone fed for the evening with bites and snacks between poses. Fitting host, good food, no notes.

Mingling, Gifting, and the Sponsors Who Made It Happen

Once the sound bath wrapped, the evening shifted into something more social. Guests mingled poolside and went home with gift bags packed by the brands who showed up to support this community:

  • IM8 Health brought their Daily Ultimate Essentials powder packets, their portable drink, and a limited-edition Inner Red Club mixer, good fuel for anyone whose days don’t run on a normal schedule.
  • Casbah Spa & Salon, a longtime Fort Lauderdale favorite for facials, massage, and more, raffled off a round of spa giveaways, because recovery matters as much as the workout.
  • Glow and Go Teas poured tastings of their hydration tea, a welcome cooldown after a Florida sunset flow.
  • Stretch on Space set up a hands-on stretching and massage demo, giving guests a real feel for recovery work most people in this industry don’t get nearly enough of.

A genuine thank you to every one of our sponsors. Events like this only work because brands who care about this community show up for it.

Why Loom Lux Hosts Evenings Like This

We make the linens and soft goods that go inside the yachts this community works and lives on, but our reason for doing that has never just been about the product. It’s about comfort, the kind that’s earned after a long day, the kind that should extend off the boat too. An evening like this is a small extension of that idea: bring good people together, give them a reason to slow down, and let a few brands who believe in the same thing pitch in.

This won’t be the last one. We’re already kicking around ideas for the next activation, so if you’re part of this marina or this industry, keep an eye out. Sunset’s only going to get better from here.
